Ergonomics

  5. Proper Posture: Learn how to maintain a neutral spine and reduce strain on the neck, shoulders, and back.
  6. Effective Use of Technology: Understand how to use technology to reduce physical strain and promote efficiency.
  7. Workstation Design: Learn how to design and adjust a workstation to fit individual needs and preferences.
  8. Safety and ergonomic culture: Ergonomic exposure assessment principles and tools: REBA, upper limb assessment, Lower limb assessment, NIOSH lifting calculator etc.
  9. Occupational biomechanics: Anatomy and structure of the back
  10. Applied occupational ergonomics and safety

Objectives

  1. It aims to minimize physical stress and reduce the risk of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) like back pain, muscle strains, and carpal tunnel syndrome.
  2. It involves educating employees about proper posture, lifting techniques, and how to adjust their workstations for optimal comfort and safety.
